The Society for Japanese Arts is an inspiring platform for sharing knowledge and experience regarding every aspect of the visual and applied arts of Japan.
While working for Ontwerpwerk I was responsible for the implementation of the SJA website. It features an Agenda and News, but also a magazine overview, with all the articles published in those magazines. These articles are visible only for SJA members. The previews on the magazine pages and in the search results change accordingly (members get a pdf reader, non members are redirected to a ‘join us’ page)
This was a fun project to work on specifically because of the challenge with visitor/member permissions.
